Hygienists: During the Idaho State Dental Association’s Board of Trustees meeting of February 26, 2005, a new membership category for Idaho licensed dental hygienist was approved. Since our first announcement we have processed nearly 100 dental hygienist membership applications. We encourage you to complete and return the enclosed application form.

Beginning in 2006 annual dues will be $40. The ISDA believes this is reasonable, especially considering that you will save more than that amount in registration fees when attending any two ISDA sponsored CE courses or the Annual Session. In addition, you have free access to the video library and numerous other member services and benefits.

Allied Membership: At the June 15, 2005, Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved a constitutional revision that adds a new Allied Membership category to the ISDA Bylaws. By definition and Allied Member is “any individual who is an allied dental professional that contributes to the advancement of dentistry.” The definition is meant to include all dental team members who may wish to officially be a part of the ISDA.
